Geronimo Stilton is the owner and publisher of The Rodent’s Gazette, the most ‘famouse’ newspaper on Mouse Island. Dami was born in Milan, Italy, in 1958. She started her career in the world of fiction as a proofreader in her father’s publishing house. She began writing her first stories at the age of 19. Her experience of assisting sick children as a volunteer led to the creation of the mouse character Geronimo Stilton. Dami signed a publishing deal with Piemme Publishing House in 1999 for the Geronimo series, and since 2000 she has authored more than 50 titles in the series that have sold over 65 million copies worldwide.
