Summary Of The Book
In Geronimo Stilton #18 Shipwreck On The Pirate Islands, the 18th installment of the series, Geronimo is cajoled by his family into going on a vacation to Pirate Islands for a getaway. At first, Geronimo is not too thrilled with idea. He is too occupied with the demands of his career to just get up and take a break. Then his little nephew Benjamin convinces him otherwise. He envisioned a relaxing getaway at Soft Squeak Resort, however his sister insists on a fun-filled adventure which could only be had on Pirate Islands. Geronimo is not too thrilled with the choice of destination, as he warns it is an island filled with mouse-eating animals such as pythons, tarantulas and tigers. But his sister Thea is adamant, and so the adventure part of the vacation begins.
As they approach the island via a hydroplane, that a tornado causes their plane to crash, leaving Geronimo and his family stranded on an island. It is while fighting to survive, that Geronimo and his family experience some strange and unusual occurrences on the island, setting the scene for a memorable adventure.

About Geronimo Stilton
Elisabetta Dami is the creator of the widely popular Geronimo Stilton books for children. She writes under the pseudonym of Geronimo Stilton. After collaborating with Piemme publishing house, they began to produce a collection of stories featuring a mouse as the hero.
She has authored over fifty books and stories, many of which are part of the series. Some of them are It's Halloween, You 'Fraidy Mouse!, The Mona Mousa Code, The Mummy with No Name, A Very Merry Christmas, The Peculiar Pumpkin Thief, The Way of the Samurai, and The Enormouse Pearl Heist.
The books are intended for children between the ages of 5 and 12 and feature an adventure setting. Apart from writing, Elisabetta Dami is a dedicated volunteer and often assists sick children who are the inspiration behind the creation of the Geronimo Stilton books.
