His job is to kill the worst possible enemies of the nation, thereby saving thousands of lives. This hitman has now been given a new assignment, where he has to kill Jessica Reel, his former colleague. She too is as good a killer as Robie, but she suddenly seems to have turned rogue. Her targets are members of the intelligence agency that she was once a part off. Reel leaves behind a trail of death wherever she goes.
The Hit focuses on how Robie is sent on this mission to eliminate Reel, as only a killer can catch another killer. This master assassin is told to set a trap, but the rogue agent is tough and highly skilled. Robie pursues his former colleague, and as the plot unveils itself, readers learn that maybe Reel’s betrayal holds the key to some dark secrets that would shock the globe. The author has beautifully captured the paranoia and loneliness that agents in this line of work go through.

David Baldacci, born in 1960, is an American writer.

Baldacci completed his Bachelors in Political Science from the Virginia Commonwealth University, and followed it up with a Law degree from the University of Virginia. He is the winner of the 2012 Barnes & Noble Writers for Writers Award, and is listed on the 2011 International Crime Writing Hall of Fame. His first novel, Absolute Power, was published in 1996.
